Are you a microbiology professional with expertise in contamination control and industrial sanitation? Our client is looking for a dedicated Plant Quality Hygienist to oversee sanitation practices across their packaging and manufacturing divisions. In this role, you will audit plant facilities, evaluate equipment design, and minimize contamination risks. As a Plant Quality Hygienist, you will safeguard facility hygiene standards and support GMP compliance.

YOUR ROLE AS AN INDUSTRIAL HYGIENIST:
Under the supervision of the Director of Quality, the hygienist is responsible for verifying cleaning, sanitizing and operational practices in the manufacturing and packaging departments from the point of view of contamination risk; Verify the design and maintenance of the equipment; good staff practices; storage and handling of raw materials as well as the proper maintenance of the environment.

Responsibilities
•Oversee all cleaning and sanitizing practices in the plant.
•Improve cleaning/sanitation methods and operations as needed.
•Establish the frequency of "super" cleaning on equipment used for micro-sensitive products.
•Regularly audit manufacturing and production facilities vs. design standard
•Validate swab practices to ensure that good practices are followed and train as needed.
•Verify the best practices of warehouse, manufacturing and packaging personnel.
•Participate in staff training.
•Check and control the proper maintenance of the environment in the factory.
•Ensure compliance with and application of GMP rules at all times as well as Health and Safety rules.
•Perform any other related tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor as required by operational requirements.
Qualifications
We invite candidates with the following qualifications:
•Education: Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or equivalent relevant education/experience.
•Experience: Proven experience within a pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing setting.
•Compliance: Solid working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
•Language Skills: Bilingualism in French and English to review technical documentation and collaborate with teams.
•Key Skills: Autonomy, strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and excellent communication abilities.
