Responsibilities
As a key member of the Manufacturing & Logistics team, the Receiving Clerk will be expected to perform the following core duties:
- Update information about received goods into the various databases to maintain accurate Inventory Management records.
- Perform physical counts and verification of goods sent from the suppliers to confirm information on receiving documents.
- Assist with national and international shipping tasks when necessary, demonstrating versatility within Warehouse Operations.
- Escalate issues to the Supervisors as deemed necessary to ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Evaluate and recommend process improvements in shipping and receiving, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Occasionally perform tasks in other departments to ensure workflow throughout the plant, supporting overall production efficiency.
- Help develop safety, efficiency, and sustainability improvements in your department.
- Maintain the receiving area clean and orderly and assist with 5S audits of the department.
- Perform all other related tasks to help facilitate your role as the Receiving Clerk in the Manufacturing & Logistics environment.
Qualifications
Successful candidates for the Receiving Clerk role must meet these mandatory requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to safely operate industrial powered vehicles (lift truck).
- Forklift Licence is an asset; candidates with prior experience will be highly considered.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position: work in a standing position, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, perform tasks with postures such as: bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Experience utilizing inventory management software
