Responsibilities
As a Receptionist / Accounts Payable Clerk, your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure that quantity and description are matching to packing slip and price agrees to purchase orders before processing.
- Code all invoices with G/L Distribution when processing.
- Verify Invoices for correctness to posting edit list before posting.
- Process debit memos when adjustments are necessary to vendor accounts..
- Filing for all paid invoices after cheque runs are complete and other reports as required.
- Phone contact with vendors to deal with their inquiries in a timely efficient manner.
- Responsible to close the month end and year end periods.
- Resolve disputes with vendors, purchasing and receiving.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Post–secondary education in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is required or experience in a related field.
- 1-3 years administrative experience, working in a large corporate office in a busy environment.
- Some basic accounting knowledge would be preferable. Switchboard experience is an asset.
- Computer operation skills (Microsoft Office), excellent telephone etiquette, basic conflict resolution skills.
- Great organizational skills and a keen eye for attention to details, strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, and be part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office - including Excel.
