What You’ll Receive:
Competitive Pay: $56.70/hour plus additional field premiums and allowances to reward your specialized expertise.
Balanced Schedule: A 14-day on, 14-day off rotation offers two weeks of focused work followed by two full weeks off, with optional overtime available.
Field Support & Benefits: Work primarily at client sites with travel, camp accommodations, and a travel allowance provided to make life on the road easier and more comfortable.

Responsibilities
The Challenge:
Step into a leadership role as the on-site technical expert, taking full responsibility for maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and major overhauls on critical field equipment. You will be the primary resource for any issues involving Natural Gas Compression or Energy Power Generation systems.
Work directly with a wide range of specialized machinery, including:
- Various types of natural gas and diesel engines
- Industrial compressors and power generation units
- Equipment from leading OEMs such as Caterpillar, Waukesha, Ariel, Cummins, as well as other non-Caterpillar manufacturers
Qualifications
Mandatory Field Requirements: Are You Up for the Challenge?
This is a senior, highly specialized field position — not an entry-level or training role. Please apply only if you can confidently demonstrate expertise in all areas outlined below.
Senior-Level Expertise: This role requires advanced, hands-on technical knowledge. Foundational training or on-the-job instruction will not be provided.
Required Certification: Candidates must hold a Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) certification. Individuals from related Red Seal trades, such as Millwright, Mechanic, or Electrician, may also be considered if they have verifiable experience with gas compression systems.
Gas Compression Proficiency: Practical, proven experience working with industrial Gas Compression equipment across multiple manufacturers and models is essential.
Field Assembly Skills: Ability to perform precise, high-stakes assembly work, ensuring first-pass, leak-free connections on complex systems.
Torque Accuracy: Demonstrated ability to apply torque to critical components with strict adherence to technical specifications.
Additional Preferred Experience:
- Industry Exposure: Background in Gas Compression and Well Servicing environments is a notable advantage.
- System Commissioning: Experience with start-up and commissioning of industrial machinery.
- Engine Expertise: Hands-on experience with Caterpillar G3600 A4 engines is considered an asset.
