Responsibilities
- Generate and manage accurate LTL (less than truckload) shipping quotes, ensuring proper DIMS (dimensions) and weight estimations
- Support timely and cost-effective transportation planning and execution across regions
- Co-ordinate inbound return logistics which includes for customer service cases
- Communicate effectively with external partners including carriers and 3PL providers
- Monitor all stock transfer order (STO) requests from Western and Ontario hub
- Identify and track when STO truck loads will be transferred from point A to point B in order to meet specific timelines
- Communicate with clients to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction
- Collect and track delivery and installation quotes/invoices from 3rd party service providers
Qualifications
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent plus additional training or education such as an associate’s degree required.
• DEC (College Diploma) or a university degree in related field with related experiences highly preferred.
• 3 or more years’ experience working in a supply chain position preferred.
• Proficient in LTL freight coordination and quoting process.
• Use of the IT systems needed for your work (SAP, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English
• Attention to detail; ability to remain focused and organized, accountable and proactive
• Valid driver’s license required for occasional local travel between facilities
• Able to travel within Canada
