Direct Hire Contract: This is a 19-month, fixed-term position ending in May 2027. You will be an employee on our client's payroll from your very first day.
Compounding Focus: Spend a significant portion of your day utilizing your advanced skills in the sterile cleanroom.
Safety First: This role involves sterile compounding but does not include any cytotoxic preparations.
Dynamic Environment: Work as part of a collaborative, cross-trained team, assisting in all areas of the pharmacy operations as needed.
Responsibilities
Registered Pharmacy Technician - Sterile Compounding - Days - Full-TIme Hours - Markham - Healthcare
Sterile Compounding: Performing all cleanroom activities, including worksheet preparation, compounding, inspection, labelling, and packaging of sterile preparations.
Cleanroom Maintenance: Strictly adhering to all cleanroom SOPs, maintaining the cleanroom and its equipment, performing cleaning/disinfection, and conducting environmental monitoring.
Technical Dispensing: Accurately processing prescriptions (data entry, scheduling refills, picking/labelling/packaging) and performing the final technical release of prescriptions.
Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate drug inventory, including purchasing, receiving, checking expiration dates, performing scheduled counts, and ensuring safe storage for ambient and cold chain products.
Patient & Provider Support: Providing exemplary customer service to patients, healthcare professionals, and clinic staff via phone and email.
Billing & Administration: Proactively problem-solving third-party insurance and special authorization issues, managing dispensing schedules, and processing patient payments.
Compliance: Adhering to all OCP guidelines and established SOPs, monitoring fridge temperatures, and actively contributing to policy and procedure reviews.
Qualifications

Registered as a Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
Successful completion of a CCAPP accredited Pharmacy Technician diploma program.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a pharmacy setting.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
Sterile setting requires no strong scents/perfumes, no jewellery, no false eyelashes or nails - thank you.
