Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and support PLC-based control systems to maintain and optimize manufacturing operations
- Develop, test, install, and maintain automation systems to improve production efficiency and reliability
- Diagnose and resolve logic, control, and system-level automation issues
- Troubleshoot major electrical and control system issues prior to escalation to OEM or equipment manufacturers
- Investigate and resolve equipment failures, instrumentation issues, and control-related downtime
- Improve process automation and control strategies to enhance system stability and performance
- Lead or support root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and implement sustainable corrective actions
- Manage process information, automation data, and industrial networking in collaboration with IT teams
- Work closely with Process Control Engineers and Automation Engineers to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide on-site technical expertise to reduce external vendor dependency
- Support commissioning, system upgrades, control modifications, and continuous improvement projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related engineering discipline
OR equivalent combination of education and experience - 10+ years of electrical, instrumentation, and industrial control experience in lieu of a formal engineering degree
- Proven hands-on experience troubleshooting PLCs, automation systems, and industrial electrical systems
- Strong background in Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) systems
- Strong background in Automation Systems
- Experience in manufacturing environments with continuous or high-speed processes
- Ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
