As the Human Resources Manager, you will be the key person for the creation and complete implementation of the HR function within the company. You will have the unique opportunity to structure processes, adapt existing policies (notably those of our American partner), and implement best HR practices. This role requires a high degree of autonomy, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a strong field presence.

Responsibilities
Creation and Structuring of the HR Function:
- Develop, implement, and manage all HR processes, policies, and programs.
- Act as a change agent and strategic advisor to management.
- Adapt and implement HR directives and tools, considering local and regulatory specificities (e.g., CNESST).
Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) – Major Component:
- Take charge of all OHS aspects for our 15+ sites, including managing CNESST files.
- Develop and implement prevention programs and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate closely with operational teams on construction sites.
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
- Manage the entire recruitment cycle for various types of positions.
- Develop talent attraction and retention strategies.
Employee Relations and Advisory Role:
- Provide a leading HR advisory role to managers and employees.
- Manage labor relations and conflict resolution.
Organizational Development:
- Participate in defining the future vision of the HR team and potentially supervise future team members.
- Contribute to the development of the HR action plan in line with the company's growth objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to human resources management, industrial relations, occupational health and safety, or any other related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a human resources generalist role, including solid experience or significant responsibilities in OHS. OR A minimum of 3 years of dedicated experience in health and safety with a strong aptitude and keen interest in generalist HR functions.
- Relevant and essential experience in the construction industry.
- Excellent knowledge of Quebec's HR and OHS laws, standards, and regulations (Act respecting occupational health and safety,
- Act respecting industrial accidents and occupational diseases (LATMP), Labour Standards, Civil Code, etc.).
- Demonstrated leadership, autonomy, and excellent organizational skills to manage a multi-site schedule.
- Excellent communicator, capable of influencing and acting as a change agent.
- Good learning ability, quick-witted, and able to demonstrate agility in their duties.
- Demonstrates creativity and proactivity in problem-solving and process improvement.
- Solid IT skills: Windows environment, Office suite.
- Valid driver's license.
