Responsibilities
Model Implementation: Implement and enhance credit risk stress testing/forecasting models.
Analytics and Reporting: Assist with complex analytics and reporting activities, including scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, attribution analysis, and impact assessment.
Platform Management: Build and maintain analytics platforms necessary to support the above activities.
Compliance: Ensure all activities and deliverables are in full compliance with the bank's Model Risk Policy and relevant Data Governance requirements.
Documentation & Communication: Effectively communicate model methodology and maintain well-articulated documentation for all models and processes.
Model Enhancement: Maintain and contribute to the enhancement of current models, and develop new credit risk models for business lines as required.
Stakeholder Interaction: Interact approximately 50% of the time with various internal and external stakeholders, providing insights and communicating technical details.
Qualifications
Required Must-Haves
Education: Master’s degree or above in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
Experience: At least 3+ years of overall experience, preferably coming from a strong credit risk/coding background.
Technical Skills: Proven coding experience, specifically in SAS.
Domain Knowledge: Solid knowledge of credit risk models or stress testing models/processes.
Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Nice-to-Haves/Assets Preferred Background:
Experience in the banking or financial institution sector is a significant asset.
Coding Flexibility: Ability to read and write code in Python, MATLAB, and/or C++.
Model Development: Prior experience developing credit risk models or stress testing models for bank lending portfolios.
Advanced Knowledge: Knowledge of credit risk models such as BASEL III Capital framework, credit risk parameters ($PD, LGD, EAD$), stress testing methodologies, and IFRS 9 forward-looking methodologies.
