This is a 100% back-office, non-customer-facing role within a high-volume production environment, focused entirely on operational excellence and quality control. Initial training is intensive, requiring two weeks of mandatory, full-time onsite classroom training.
Fixed Schedule: You will be assigned a fixed shift, either 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM (to be determined by the manager).
Hybrid Model: The role requires four days in the office per week (downtown Toronto) and one work-from-home day per week.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for applying complex accounting rules to financial data within a specialized risk rating model. Performance will be measured strictly against daily productivity targets for both quantity and quality.
Financial Statement Analysis: Use a combination of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial statement notes, and internal guidelines to accurately interpret and input values from private company financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Statement of Cash Flow) into the Risk Rating model.
Risk Rating Generation: Generate a BRR (Borrower Risk Rating) calculation for each request based on the inputs and business financial data provided.
Adjustment Application: Apply requested financial adjustments and produce a revised set of financial statements and the corresponding updated BRR rating.
Consolidation Expertise: Understand and execute the elimination of intercompany transactions to accurately combine financial statements from multiple related entities.
Operational Excellence: Manage a high-volume queue effectively, maintain rigorous attention to detail, and support the Manager, Risk Rating, in other assigned duties.
Qualifications
Technical & Educational Requirements
Education: Minimum requirement is a post-secondary degree; a Commerce or Business Administration degree is mandatory, with a specialization in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred.
Financial Literacy: Demonstrated ability to read, comprehend, and interpret business financial statements (including audited, review engagement, and notice to reader formats).
GAAP Knowledge: Working knowledge of GAAP principles is required.
Prior Experience: Some experience working in an accounting or finance-related role is a must-have.
Software: Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Soft Skills & Behavioral Expectations
Keen attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work in a high-pressure environment.
Ability to be highly focused, results-oriented, and goal-driven.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as a positive team player.
