Site visits: once every 6 weeks across BC.
Responsibilities
• Experience drafting for generation station Mechanical systems.
• All the required Experience and Role Accountabilities shall relate to Autodesk and other CADD applications drafting work experience.
• Support the creation and revision of engineering drawings associated with Mechanical engineering works for Station Mechanical System projects.
• Use a variety of computer-aided drafting, modeling and parametric design applications to depict work in two and three dimensions and manage drawings using a computerized drawing records management system.
• Use drawings for site preparations and layouts, facility construction, and electrical infrastructure design and installation including details of equipment, assemblies, and components.
• Create customized drawings for non-standard engineering and design projects.
• Perform work according to CADD standards.
• Perform some calculations. Additional Education and Skills
• Experience doing computer aided drafting/design (CADD) for a utility or a similar industry
• Successful completion or working towards the completion of the introductory course - Electrical System
Qualifications
Must haves:
Must have great time management skills Must have great relationship management skills, and work well in a team environment.
Must have 8 years experience with HVAC and Fire Protection design
Expert experience with AutoCAD
Valid Class 5 driver's license in good standing
Nice to haves:
Experience with Diesel Genset specification / design is an asset.
Experience with Revit / Inventor an asset
