Responsibilities
What you'll do:
Manages projects of varying size, diversity, complexity and risk and assumes responsibility for their successful completion within the Security, Business Continuity and Emergency Management portfolio.
Has demonstrated experience managing projects related to risk management and/or projects that involve process change and people impacts.
Develops project plans, including scope, budget, schedule and project team responsibilities in order to accomplish project objectives in the most cost effective manner using project management principles; delivers projects using accepted project and change management practices to ensure effective transition of project work into sustainment in the business.
Demonstrates exceptional stakeholder relationship management to work to ensure project objectives align with annual work plan priorities.
Provides continuous support to client areas and acts a business process liaison.
Supports development business cases, prepares project reports and, at completion, submits financial and final project reports for approval.
Reports risks associated with the project to the Security & Emergency Management Project Management Office.
Works effectively with Change Management and Communications teams to develop and deliver project change management plans, stakeholder engagement plans, training plans, and to communicate regarding projects.
Qualifications
Must Have
Bachelor degree or a relevant discipline such as engineering, health & safety, information technology, business or operations, preferably in a utility/similar industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
A minimum of five years project management experience within a utility or similar environment.
Proven ability to organize cross-functional project teams to effectively deliver multiple project(s).
Good communication skills including excellent oral, written and presentation skills for communication with a wide variety of internal and external parties.
Good planning, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Valid B.C. Class 5 driver's license
Nice to Have
Knowledge of project management processes and strong leadership skills.
Experience delivery project in an energize environment
Project Management certification, such as PMP
