Are you a self-motivated professional with a knack for technical sales and a background in electrical systems or industrial installations? We are currently seeking a dynamic Sales Specialist to join a leading provider of high-quality perimeter security solutions. This role is a unique blend of inside sales and field-based consultation, focusing specifically on the automation and electronic access portions of large-scale commercial and industrial projects.
...
In this role, you won't just be selling products; you will be providing comprehensive security solutions. You will be responsible for estimating costs for the supply and installation of automated gate systems, conducting on-site assessments to determine technical requirements, and providing troubleshooting support to ensure client satisfaction. Whether you are dealing with government agencies, oil and gas firms, or private commercial enterprises, your goal is to deliver precision and reliability.
We are looking for someone who can bridge the gap between technical blueprint reading and proactive business development. You will utilize in-house software to manage the full sales lifecycle—from initial quote generation to final invoicing. If you are a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses the electrical aptitude to understand low-voltage circuits and primary power requirements, this permanent, full-time position offers a competitive landscape to grow your career.
Advantages
Comprehensive Benefits: Robust health package including dental, vision, and life insurance.
Field Support: Company vehicle provided for all site visits and outside sales calls.
Work-Life Balance: Standard Monday to Friday day shift schedule.
Growth Potential: Opportunities for internal advancement within a stable, industry-leading organization.
Stability: Full-time, permanent position with on-site parking and a professional office environment.
Responsibilities
Manage a hybrid sales desk covering both internal inquiries and external site consultations for automated gate systems.
Develop accurate estimates for industrial and commercial projects, specifically focusing on the automation and repair components.
Perform detailed site visits to evaluate terrain, power access, and project scope (company vehicle provided).
Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure project feasibility and hardware compatibility.
Navigate the full sales cycle through company software, including the creation of production orders, sales orders, and invoices.
Cultivate relationships with a diverse client base, including engineers, general contractors, and government stakeholders.
Actively hunt for new business opportunities and follow up on leads to expand market share.
Maintain a high standard of safety, adhering to both internal and client-specific safety protocols on-site.
Qualifications
Technical Aptitude: Strong electrical knowledge is highly preferred, specifically regarding low-voltage contacts and primary power circuits.
Certification/Experience: A C.E.T. designation or a background in overhead door/gate installation is considered a significant asset.
Sales Acumen: Proven ability to estimate with confidence and "close" in a professional, consultative manner.
Software Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable learning proprietary ERP/quoting software.
Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical clients.
Reliability: Must possess a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
Resilience: Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail.
