Responsibilities
100% business development/hunting to build and own a new sales territory
Manage and grow accounts once relationships are established (upselling/farming)
Wear multiple hats typical of distribution
Deal with the full sales cycle from opening an opportunity to closing
Handle product-related issues, including sourcing products, finding substitutions, and expediting back orders
Project management and managing vendor relationships
Take orders from ongoing accounts
Quickly resolve "fires" and problems to ensure customer satisfaction
Qualifications
Minimum of three years of business development and account management experience in distribution
Experience in packaging, food service, or facility supplies distribution is preferred
Strong preference for candidates with a distribution background
Ability to work autonomously with a high degree of self-discipline
Must be comfortable with an entrepreneurial approach to building a book of business
