Responsibilities
Serve as the P2P subject matter expert for SAP S4/HANA, covering business process refinement, incident/problem management, and enhancement implementation.
Identify business application usage, including processes, enhancement opportunities, and system integrations.
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (requirements, evaluation, design, configuration, development, testing, guidance).
Create business requirement and functional specification documents (Waterfall or Agile).
Gather functional and technical requirements for enhancements and issue resolution.
Provide application expertise and guidance for productivity and business function enhancements.
Ensure solutions are developed, integrated, and maintained within the SAP S4/HANA landscape according to company standards.
Interface with vendors for product roadmaps, project support, upgrades, and maintenance releases.
Coordinate acceptance tests for quality and timely delivery.
Review emerging technologies and market trends for strategic alignment.
Offer consulting for SAP and related application maintenance, enhancement, and troubleshooting.
Promote proper tool, process, and standard usage through education and design sessions.
Introduce SAP and industry best practices to the business environment.
Assist in training curriculum development and delivery for business users.
Qualifications
Work experience in SAP Procure to Pay processes (planning, vendor management, buying, receiving, invoicing, reconciliations).
University Degree in computer science, business administration, or related discipline.
4-7 years of experience in FA/BA/BSA or similar roles in an SAP environment.
Strong knowledge in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting SAP business workflow.
Experience with integration to FI.
Familiarity with different EDI interface standards.
Configuration knowledge in Procure to Pay processes and release strategies, with thorough understanding of foundational items (Purchase Organizations, Plants, Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Purchasing Group, Vendor Master).
Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines.
Results-oriented mindset.
Experience partnering with outsourced vendors.
Excellent methodical and critical thinking skills.
Initiative, good judgment, and effective decision-making.
Strong process improvement orientation and experience leading inter-disciplinary discussions.
Hands-on experience in technical solution design, software specifications, conceptualization, and development.
Hands-on experience in Agile projects (asset).
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
SAP certification preferred.
