Are you a seasoned road warrior with a passion for safety and a knack for teaching others? Can you back up a trailer like a boss AND coach new drivers with confidence and patience? 🧭 Then buckle up — this role is for you!
Under the supervision of the Quality, Safety and Training (QSF) supervisor, the Trainer-Inspector is responsible for teaching trucking concepts and specialized notions related to vehicle transportation to all drivers.
We require someone with previous experience as a Class 1 driver with knowledge of PEVL, Law 430 et Highway Safety Code.

Advantages

Responsibilities
Train new Class 1 drivers on company safety standards, procedures & best practices
Conduct road evaluations, classroom sessions & hands-on training
Promote a safety-first culture across the fleet 🦺
Assist with incident investigations & corrective actions
Keep detailed records of training, certifications, and compliance
Ensure that trips are maximized (no vacancies)
Ensure drivers respect and comply with law 430
Ensure that all drivers complete their RDS and log book in their cell phone.
Inspect trips to CN and other locations, loaded and empty trucks
Check that drivers complete their pre-departure and return mechanical checks
Ensure compliance of trucks and binders with MIR
Participate in damage meetings and inform drivers of improvements and new features.
Master the risk prevention program and apply it to drivers
Participate in various company committees as required
Qualifications
Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean abstract
5+ years of professional driving experience
Previous training/coaching experience (formal or informal)
Strong communication skills — you know how to educate AND motivate
Solid understanding of Law430, PEVL et Highway safety regulations 🚦
Patience, leadership, and a great sense of humor — because trucking has its moments!
