Responsibilities
The Senior Accountant - Corporate Accounting will play a key role in the production of consolidated financial statements, the analysis of results, compliance with IFRS accounting standards, as well as the continuous improvement of financial processes. He will also act as the main point of contact for internal and external audits and will actively participate in strategic corporate projects.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Perform detailed account analyses and explain significant variances.
- Collaborate in the preparation of notes to financial statements and management's discussion and analysis.
- Participate in external and internal audits, including the preparation of required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with the group's accounting policies and regulations in force.
- Supervise certain month-end operations (provisions, fixed assets, intercompany, etc.).
- Support initiatives to automate accounting processes and internal controls.
- Participate in the accounting integration of new entities, acquisitions or special projects.
- Mentor junior accountants as required.
Qualifications
- CPA designation or in the process is a significant asset
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting, ideally in a large company or firm.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and consolidation principles.
- Mastery of Excel (modeling, cross-tabs, advanced formulas) and a recognized ERP (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills, rigor and organizational skills.
- Experience in financial project management or process improvement is an asset.
- Analytical mind and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
