Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee full-cycle accounting functions, including financial statement preparation and month-end/year-end close processes
- Handle day-to-day invoicing functions and record revenue across designated business entities
- Review and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Supervise, mentor, and support a small team of accounting staff
- Support external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and ensuring compliance with internal controls
- Prepare and file government remittances, including GST/PST filings
- Collaborate across internal operational departments and with external partners to resolve billing or accounting issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field CPA designation completed or in progress is preferred, and international equivalents will be considered
- Atleast 3 years of progressive full-cycle accounting experience
- Previous experience leading or supervising an accounting team is preferred
- Experience working within the transportation, logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing industries is a strong asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail and deadline management
