In this key role, the Senior Accountant directly supports the CEO/Finance Manager and leadership team. You'll manage all day-to-day accounting operations, from preparing management accounts and producing timely financial reports to ensuring compliance with Canadian and local laws. This position is also crucial for overseeing tax and HST filings, supporting external audits, and maintaining robust internal controls for our development and lettings portfolio.

Responsibilities
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, ensuring full compliance with Canadian law.
• Review and approve all journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Approve and verify all journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Work with external tax advisors to help with corporate tax estimates and year-end provisions.
• Prepare year-end working papers and coordinate with external auditors for both interim and annual audits.
Qualifications
The successful candidate profile will have::
• 4 to 6 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Must come from a real estate development, construction or property management background.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong knowledge of Canadian IFRS reporting requirements
