If so, we’d like to meet you. Our client, a global leader in aircraft engine MRO, is seeking an experienced Senior Engine Mechanic to join their Calgary-based maintenance facility. This is a hands-on senior-level role focused on engine disassembly, inspection, assembly, and supporting test cell runs for major commercial engine types.
Position: Full-time, direct hire
Schedule: Monday to Friday, daytime hours (occasional overtime or AOG support may be required)
Environment: Non-unionized MRO facility
Wage: $41 to $51/hr (based on Certification & experience)

Responsibilities
What you’ll be doing:
- Perform engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul tasks in the engine shop and occasionally on-wing/on-site (quick-turn, AOG, borescope support).
- Disassemble and inspect engine modules and components in accordance with approved work scopes.
- Carry out repairs and reassembly of engines or modules per OEM and regulatory standards.
- Interpret AMM/EMM/IPC/SB/AD manuals and follow digital work orders using enterprise maintenance systems.
- Ensure full compliance with EASA/FAA Part 145 standards, including FOD control, tooling calibration, and SMS/human factors programs.
- Complete return-to-service documentation accurately and on time.
- Act as a team lead on assigned engine types; mentor junior mechanics and apprentices.
- Liaise with planning, engineering, quality, and customer representatives during induction, workscope changes, and delivery.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft engine MRO
- Minimum 2 years as an Approval Holder (independent signatory or equivalent senior technician level)
- Experience on at least one of the following engine types:
--- CFM56-5A / -5B / -5C / -7B
--- V2500
--- LEAP-1A or LEAP-1B
- Demonstrated experience in engine or module disassembly, assembly, and inspection
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance (EASA/FAA Part 145) and shop safety practices
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and work with digital maintenance systems (e.g., SAP, AMOS)
- Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to quality and safety
