Responsibilities
Alert Review: Act as the first reviewer of alerts generated by our surveillance system and determine the necessary investigative steps.
Case Management: Efficiently manage alerts and cases, ensuring that timely follow-ups are made and escalation protocols are followed.
Process Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of surveillance and overall efficiency by analyzing our processes.
Account Review: Conduct targeted reviews of high-risk client accounts and report any potential issues.
Reporting: Prepare detailed case summaries for management.
Risk Analysis: Stay up to date on financial crime trends to identify new risks, counterparties, or keywords to integrate into our surveillance filters.
Qualifications
English is mandatory; French is an asset for collaboration with our international colleagues.
3 to 5 years of experience in financial crime surveillance or investigations.
In-depth knowledge of anti-money laundering (AML) laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), the USA PATRIOT Act, U.S. Treasury guidelines, and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and research skills, with proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Understanding of diverse cultural and linguistic situations.
