As a senior technical leader, you will bridge the gap between business objectives and technology execution by designing end-to-end architectures that span application packages, databases, and middleware systems. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to establish architectural standards, provide governance oversight, and contribute technical expertise to highly visible discovery phases for modern identity and digital credential initiatives.
Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite - 5 days/week)
Contract Duration: 15 months (with potential for extension)

Architectural Blueprinting & Design: Define the structures, layers, interfaces, and interactions among distributed software solutions, databases, middleware systems, and application packages.
Artifact Documentation: Design and develop comprehensive enterprise architecture deliverables, including detailed business, solution, and information architecture documentation.
Data Modeling: Create vital technical architecture artifacts, including logical data models, information data models, and metadata structures.
Governance & Technical Oversight: Guide project streams smoothly through formal Enterprise Architecture Governance frameworks, providing ongoing technical oversight and direction.
Requirements Definition: Collaborate with clients to define, identify, and describe technical and information architectural requirements, securing necessary management approvals.
Discovery & Feasibility Engineering: Contribute deep technical expertise to initial project discovery phases, feasibility studies, options analyses, and architectural costing for digital credential systems.
Procurement & Vendor Support: Develop detailed solution and technology specifications for procurement initiatives, participating in bid evaluations and vendor service level agreement (SLA) negotiations.
Policy & Standards Management: Research, develop, implement, and maintain technology and information architectural policies, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and industry best practices.
System Monitoring & Limitations: Evaluate high-level component interactions across distributed systems, setting explicit limitations and non-functional requirements for developer source code.

Multi-Domain Mastery: Proven experience creating comprehensive Business, Solution, and Information architecture deliverables and documentation.
Data Modeling Capabilities: Strong hands-on experience generating architecture artifacts, such as logical data models, information data models, and data dictionaries.
Enterprise Environment Leadership: Broad experience executing application analysis, multi-tier infrastructure design, and configuration tracking for large-scale enterprise implementations.
Identity & Credential Systems: Solid technical understanding of architectural options, workflows, and solution patterns for physical and digital credential ecosystems.
Security & Privacy Focus: Extensive knowledge of security frameworks, access controls, and privacy requirements as they relate to data elements and technology architecture.
Technical & Tooling Acumen
Modeling Tools: Proficiency using Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools or modern solution architecture modeling tools.
