As a Senior AML Business Analyst, you will play a central leadership role across program pods to ensure governance, requirements quality, and seamless execution. You will drive key initiatives focused on regulatory reporting (such as LCTR and CTR) alongside critical data modeling, lineage, and mapping projects. Working closely with cross-functional project teams of 5 to 10 members and key executive stakeholders, you will establish delivery approaches, estimate effort, manage risks, and align requirements to strategic drivers across both Agile and Waterfall frameworks.

Responsibilities
•Lead requirements work packages for large-scale, strategic, and regulatory programs; provide oversight and governance across team pods to standardize documentation.
•Develop delivery approaches and work plans aligned with project milestones, constraints, and dependencies.
•Estimate, forecast, and manage requirements efforts, including timelines, resources, and cross-project interdependencies.
•Establish quality assurance processes to ensure captured requirements are complete, concise, compliant with standards, and fully testable.
•Facilitate stakeholder engagement to achieve consensus, final agreements, and formal sign-offs on key deliverables.
•Assess project change requests for impact on objectives, technology, customer experience, and budgets.
•Identify, document, and validate current state processes, helping business partners define problems and formulate effective solution strategies.
•Conduct data analysis work packages, including source-to-target mapping, data lineage, and data quality validation.
•Identify and manage project risks and issues, escalating to senior management as appropriate.
Qualifications
•Experience: 8 to 10+ years of dedicated Business Analysis experience within the Financial Services industry, utilizing both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
•AML & Regulatory Domain Expertise: Strong working knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) concepts, including Know Your Customer (KYC), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and regulatory reporting (FINTRAC, LCTR, STR).
•Technical & Data Proficiency: Proven experience with transaction monitoring, customer risk rating applications, data mapping, data lineage, and data modeling.
•Tooling: Proficient with MS Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project), SharePoint, JIRA, and Confluence.
•Leadership & Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management, relationship-building, and written/verbal communication skills; proven ability to lead other analysts and articulate complex business needs.
•Education: University degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
•Certifications (Asset/Nice to Have): Formal Business Analysis accreditation (e.g., CBAP) or AML/Sanctions certifications (e.g., ACAMS).
