Responsibilities
Requirements Elicitation & Workshop Facilitation: Lead and facilitate in-depth workshops, JAD sessions, and interviews with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
Agile Deliverable Management: Break down complex business requirements into manageable epics and user stories; support sprint planning and align business analysis deliverables with iterative development cycles.
Business Modeling & Process Re-engineering: Develop process maps, context diagrams, use cases, conceptual/logical data models, and business rules definitions to optimize workflow efficiency and service delivery.
Business Case Development: Prepare comprehensive end-to-end business cases, cost-benefit analyses, ROI assessments, and feasibility studies to support IT investment decisions.
UX/UI & Prototyping Support: Collaborate with UX designers and developers using tools such as Figma, MS Visio, and Azure DevOps to translate requirements into user-centered wireframes and interface designs.
Quality Assurance & UAT Execution: Partner with QA teams to develop traceability matrices, design test scenarios, and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate system functionality against business requirements prior to deployment.
Change Management & Adoption: Define change scope, conduct impact analyses, and create training and communication strategies to facilitate smooth transitions and high end-user adoption.
Governance & Vendor Evaluation: Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and project gating processes; assist with Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and vendor response evaluations.
Qualifications
Senior Business Analysis Experience: Proven track record delivering business analysis on medium to large-scale enterprise IT projects (Strictly Required).
Workshop Facilitation & Elicitation: Demonstrated expertise leading workshops and JAD sessions to elicit, document, and confirm requirements, business rules, and process models (Strictly Required).
Agile & User Story Delivery: In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies and proven experience translating complex requirements into well-defined user stories (Strictly Required).
End-to-End Business Cases: Demonstrated experience developing complete business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and feasibility studies from start to finish (Strictly Required).
Enterprise Architecture Concepts: Working knowledge of enterprise business architectural concepts to ensure technical solution recommendations align with organizational standards (Strictly Required).
Nice-to-Have Assets:
Prior business analysis experience within a public sector or broader public sector environment.
Hands-on experience with prototyping tools (Figma) and Agile management platforms (Azure DevOps, Jira).
Familiarity with web accessibility standards (AODA/WCAG) and change management methodologies.
