Responsibilities
The Scenario Exercise Consultant will support the development, execution, and continuous improvement of scenario exercises within company’s Operational Resilience Program. This position is responsible for designing, coordinating, and tracking scenario exercises that test the bank’s ability to respond to business disruptions. The consultant works closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure exercises are well-structured, outcomes are accurately documented, and findings are synthesized into actionable recommendations.
Qualifications
Must Have Requirement:
• Ability to analyze and synthesize detailed information into concise reports for a senior audience.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar field either within or consulting firm or risk
• Strong skills in plain language writing and design. Convert technical terms into basic language.
• Ability to present information so it is easy to understand, use, and remember.
-Effective layout and design when using PowerPoint
• Strong consulting skills to understand stakeholder needs.
• Advanced PowerPoint skills
-Communication and presentation skills
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel for tracking, analyzing, and reporting on exercise outcomes and project progress.
- Basic formula Vlookup
Nice to Have:
• Previous experience in Financial Institutions (Capital Markets, Retail Market, Wealth & Investment) - preference of Big 5 Banks
• Knowledge of Business Continuity Management/Operational Resilience.
• CBCP/DRI certification (ABCP, CBCP, AMBCI).
• Comfort level of some technology or systems but not required
• College/ University
Soft Skills:
• Ability pick up on key indicators. Not do a risk assessment but be curious.
