Responsibilities
• Data Mapping & Documentation
Lead detailed data mapping activities between source systems, data platforms, and target destinations
Document field‑level mapping, transformation rules, data lineage, and business logic.
Ensure mappings align with enterprise data standards, governance rules, and architectural patterns.
Maintain clear and version‑controlled mapping specifications for engineering teams.
Analyze and profile datasets to understand data structures, quality issues, relationships, and anomalies.
Validate that mapped data accurately represents business processes and stakeholder expectations.
Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and risks during migration or integration projects.
• Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with data engineers, architects, business analysts, product owners, and SMEs to gather requirements.
Translate business definitions into technical mapping documentation.
Facilitate workshops to resolve data ambiguities, clarify business rules, and align on mapping decisions.
• Data Quality & Validation
Support testing teams by providing validation rules and expected outputs for data transformations.
Perform data reconciliation between source and target systems.
Partner with data governance teams to improve data integrity, metadata accuracy, and documentation quality.
• Reporting & Insights
Build dashboards, reports, or analytics as needed to support business needs.
Present findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Contribute to self‑service analytics and standardized reporting frameworks..
