Responsibilities
• Participates in all initiatives related to database monitoring, automation, optimization, efficiency, capacity planning, emergency response, change management and process improvements.
• Ensures all components of a DBMS including – where applicable - storage, archiving, capacity management, high availability, backup and recovery procedures are built, configured and monitored correctly.
Maintains data integrity and security (manage roles and permissions of database users).
• Manages Production, Test and Development database environments.
• Maintains Database DR documentation, procedures, jobs and supports the annual DR test
• Builds and reports on database performance and availability metrics and takes appropriate actions to implement best practices and optimize performance
• Collaborates with development teams, understands current builds and release processes, and makes recommendations for improvement.
• Builds and maintains the CI/CD pipelines to improve developer productivity, agility, and code quality.
• Collaborates with the software engineering teams to implement the technology modernization roadmap, including automation pipelines and new advanced database techniques
• Other task as required
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
+5 years of experience with On-prem and/or Cloud Database services
+5 years of experience in database administration in complex enterprise environments
+2 years of experience with Oracle Autonomous Database (ADB) services
