Responsibilities
• Manage end-to-end long-term translation projects, by working with the coordinator, internal partners and external suppliers
• Serve as the language expert for your colleagues, internal partners and suppliers
• Coach, train and guide less experienced team members in translation and customer service issues and challenges
• Fill in for the Associate Manager, as required
• Demonstrate strong file analysis skills and decisiveness
• Ensure the tone and style of translated documents follow the brand guidelines
• Conduct terminological research to produce high-quality translations, and add to the terminological database by creating records
• Work with internal partners and other members of the Translation Services to produce quality turnkey translations
• Meet or exceed service level agreements
• Be able to work under pressure, and manage emergencies and priorities
Qualifications
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in translation and in terminological research.
• Languages: Advanced bilingualism (English and French), both written and spoken.
• Software: Knowledge of FlowFit and memoQ.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree translation or equivalent training.
• Asset: Membership in OTTIAQ.
