Reporting to the Manager, Post-Construction Monitoring, this position is responsible for implementing post-construction monitoring for pipe integrity, facilities, and decommissioning programs. Key activities will include developing and executing land conservation and reclamation monitoring strategies; engaging and overseeing contractors/consultants and working closely with Environmental Inspectors; ensuring alignment with corporate environmental policies and asset management objectives; overseeing implementation of post-construction monitoring plans; ensuring commitment compliance during post-construction; and preparing and reviewing various regulatory submissions, as applicable.
This position will work extensively with external groups including, but not limited to, regulatory agencies, Indigenous groups and landowners, as well as internal multi-disciplinary project teams. This position advises management on conservation & reclamation and other environmental post-construction monitoring issues affecting pipe integrity projects, and is responsible to propose, negotiate and implement solutions to identified issues in collaboration with corporate post construction monitoring resources (e.g., Environmental Coordinator) and the broader Environmental Planning and Permitting teams.
Tasks:
Provide technical land conservation & reclamation and other applicable biophysical advice during post-construction monitoring activities.
Oversee daily direction and management of reclamation implementation projects and/or monitoring activities (as applicable), providing technical direction, compliance monitoring, and overall guidance to field personnel.
Oversee implementation of pipe-integrity post-construction monitoring programs, ensuring compliance with requirements; identification and evaluation of issues and risks; advice for issue resolution; and timely completion of required reporting
Develop scope of work and support budget development
In-depth field assessments.
Implementation of corrective measures and follow up on effectiveness
Updates to tracking/mapping databases.
Obtain environmental permits.
Evaluate detailed technical soil assessment data, vegetation assessments, or research reports to identify risks and issues, and establish mitigation and reclamation plans.
Maintain relationships and ensure collaboration with key pipeline project disciplines responsible for engineering, project management, land, community relations, Indigenous relations, legal, and safety to identify and resolve issues;
Ensure compliance with project commitments as well as TC Energy policies and procedures.

Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical or Environmental Engineering
5- 8 years of practical experience in the Oil & Gas industry
