Advantages
This position offers strong career development by placing you as an active business partner to plant management, providing hands-on operational finance and SAP experience.
Responsibilities
As an active business partner to plant management, the Financial Analyst tracks, analyzes, and reports on daily operational performance, yield, labor, and product costs. The role oversees plant internal controls and inventory management by posting cycle counts, managing purchase orders, and performing quarterly GAAP control self-tests. Additionally, it drives financial close activities through month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, overhead spending analysis, and annual budget preparation.
Qualifications
Candidates need a post-secondary degree in finance or business paired with at least two years of progressive finance experience in SAP. Strong proficiency in advanced Excel—specifically pivot tables, macros, and data mining—is essential to evaluate daily plant results quickly. A background in manufacturing (ideally FMCG) is highly valued, along with solid problem-solving abilities and communication skills to explain financial concepts to non-financial plant operations teams.
Summary
This 5-month temporary Senior Financial Analyst contract provides critical operational finance support to Plant Management during an organizational transition. The role focuses on business accounting, daily yield and labor performance tracking, inventory controls, and month-end journal entries rather than technical tax compliance. Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of manufacturing finance experience, strong SAP capabilities, and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables and macros) to analyze results and communicate insights to non-financial teams.
