Responsibilities
Financial Planning, Revenue Management & Business Intelligence:
Lead month-end close procedures for revenue, inventory utilization, and cost allocations; draft and post complex journal entries in alignment with ASC 606 / revenue recognition standards.
Own the execution of budgeting, planning, and quarterly re-forecasting cycles; input and consolidate submissions using Hyperion.
Conduct detailed variance analyses (Actuals vs. Budget/Forecast) and synthesize key findings into concise monthly management presentations.
Maintain and enhance revenue/cost reporting modules in Cognos/TM1; build, scale, and maintain Power BI / Tableau dashboards to optimize financial visibility across departments.
Function as the primary finance liaison for internal and external audit engagements, maintaining robust internal controls.
Master financial database architecture to trace client and service-level transactions from source system through consolidated reporting.
Monitor and enforce vendor contractual obligations in compliance with contract terms and GAAP/IFRS; prepare associated vendor balance reconciliations, resolve variances, and book necessary adjustments.
Oversee contract compliance for key clients, coordinating client-led audits and ensuring transparency.
Facilitate regular financial updates and strategic reviews with agency leads, investment directors, and executive leadership.
Qualifications
Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related quantitative field (CPA/CFA or progress toward certification is a plus).
Experience: 4+ years of progressive experience in corporate FP&A, revenue accounting, or commercial finance.
Systems & Software: Hands-on experience with IBM Cognos / TM1 and Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) or Enterprise Planning.
Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities (financial modeling, complex formulas, data structuring) paired with exposure to BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or data analytics software).
Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of revenue recognition, trading models, and billing dynamics.
Soft Skills & Competencies: Strong narrative-building and executive presentation capabilities; ability to turn raw data into strategic insights; rigorous attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills in high-volume environments; collaborative mindset with a track record of driving cross-functional alignment.
