Job Title: Senior Financial Planning & Analyst (FP&A) & Systems Transformation
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid - 2 days/week in North York office)
Job Type: 12-Month Contract
About the Opportunity
...
Are you a senior finance professional who thrives at the intersection of complex predictive analytics and systems evolution? We are partnering with a premier, independent professional services and consulting firm in Toronto to secure a high-impact financial strategist.
Advantages
With the Chief Financial Officer deeply focused on high-level board strategy and shareholder relations, this pivotal role will act as the CFO’s right hand. You will take complete ownership of the upcoming budgeting season while simultaneously helping shepherd the finance team through a major Workday ERP implementation. If you want a role where you aren't just managing the books, but actively writing the playbook for how a finance department operates, this is it.
Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end corporate budgeting, forecasting, and long-range modeling frameworks to deliver sophisticated, predictive business insights.
Map out legacy finance workflows and build out new frameworks within the Workday platform ahead of its critical October launch.
Act as a strategic sounding board for the CFO, translating complex data structures into compelling operational narratives for executive leadership.
Collaborate cross-functionally with People & Culture and Operations to ensure clean data architecture between Finance systems and upcoming HR/HCM modules.
Architect dynamic dashboards and reporting mechanisms using Excel and Power BI to empower profit-center leaders
Qualifications
5 to 8+ years of progressive, post-graduate experience specializing heavily in corporate FP&A, financial modeling, and scenario analysis.
Background working within a billable-hour environment (such as law, engineering, accounting, or management consulting firms) is highly desired.
Strong familiarity with Workday Financials or Workday Adaptive Planning is preferred. Candidates with strong administration experience in other major ERP environments (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics NAV) will absolutely be considered.
Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to "tell the story" behind technical data to non-finance stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. Holding an MBA, holding a CPA/CFA designation, or actively tracking toward completion is preferred.
Summary
This organization requires someone with strong financial planning, analysis, forecasting, and modeling skills.
