Position: Senior French Translator
Competitive Salary
Location: Toronto, ON
Hybrid, 1-2 days per week - Wednesdays and every 3rd Friday of the month.
Work Schedule: 37.5 Hours/week, 9-5 Monday to Friday (some flexibility to start at 8:00/8:30).

Responsibilities
The main function of the Translator is to translate written or spoken materials from one language to another.
• Listen to, understand, and translate spoken or written statements from one language to another
• Facilitate effective communication by converting one spoken/written language to another
• Relay concepts and ideas between languages
• Edit and proofread text to accurately reflect language
• Adapt a product or service for use in a different language and culture
Qualifications
Must Have Requirement:
• 3+ years Translation experience.
• Experience with translation memory software. MemoQ and Multiterm is used primarily.
• French/English bilingual *Expert level French skills.
• BA in translation.
Nice to Have:
• Working experience with translation tools including MemoQ
• Working in HTML
• Jira and ServiceNow experience
• Experience working in SharePoint
• Experience working on internal content
• Experience working in Agile/in a large team
• Experience working with translation vendors
Soft Skills:
• Strong affinity to technology
• Team player
• Organized
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Respectful
