This position is built for an established industrial sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands carbon steel distribution, and excels at managing major industrial and oilfield accounts. Responsibilities
- Manage high-volume incoming sales inquiries, RFQs, and client orders via phone, email, and counter interactions.
- Review complex customer specifications, verify inventory, source product pricing, and issue precise technical quotations.
- Negotiate buy-ins from third-party vendors and suppliers to meet customer price and delivery requirements.
- Track order revisions, handle Quality Assurance Reports (QARs), and expedite orders to meet critical customer timelines.
- Collaborate closely with Inside Sales Managers, Branch Managers, and Outside Sales teams to expand account market share.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5+ years of direct Inside Sales experience in carbon steel, PVF (Pipes, Valves, Fittings), or industrial oilfield distribution.
- Product Knowledge: Strong familiarity with carbon steel product lines, fabrication support, and oilfield/mining industry specs.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP sales order systems.
- Capabilities: Exceptional negotiation, verbal/written communication, and problem-solving skills with a proactive, self-motivated mindset.
