Responsibilities
Diagnose, isolate, and resolve high-priority application incidents (P1/P2) efficiently under pressure.
Lead comprehensive root-cause analysis (RCA) to implement sustainable solutions and prevent recurring system anomalies.
Coordinate and actively participate in major incident response efforts, ensuring clear communications during crisis scenarios (bridge calls, executive updates).
Partner cross-functionally with internal IT stakeholders and business units to optimize application dependability.
Drive continuous improvement in support practices by leveraging automation and integrating artificial intelligence utilities.
Document technical findings, architectural dependencies, and temporary workarounds to enrich the team's internal knowledge base.
Qualifications
At least 5 years of dedicated expertise in IT application support (RUN operations) with a heavy focus on critical incident management.
Strong technical familiarity with legacy environments (Mainframe, AS400, batch processing, file transfers, and multi-system data flows).
Proficient with Azure DevOps for tracking work items, monitoring pipelines, and managing issues.
Hands-on experience using AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or similar AI capabilities) to accelerate log analysis and pattern detection.
Solid capability in executing SQL queries for troubleshooting and data validation.
Exceptional autonomy and critical thinking; comfortable navigating ambiguous environments with sparse documentation.
Professional fluency in French.
Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written). In particular, this position will require the employee to interact with centralized internal departments (e.g., Operations / HR / Finance / Legal / Contracts / Sales) that support the organization in Canada and that do not speak French.
