Senior Jacketed Pipefitter (Journeyman Level) High-Pressure Fabrication
Location: Nisku, AB
Shift: Monday – Thursday 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (4x10s)
...
Are you a Pipefitter with the "old school" expertise that only comes from years on the tools? We aren't looking for a ticket; we are looking for talent. Our Nisku facility is scaling up production on custom, multi-layered jacketed piping systems—this isn't standard process piping. We need a specialist who understands the complexity of internal fit-ups, thermal expansion gaps, and zero-leak integrity.
If you have Journeyman-level skills, a "first-time right" mindset, and the grit to lead complex builds in a high-production shop, we want you on the floor.
Advantages
Top-Tier Pay: $38.00 - $42.00/hour (Negotiable based on jacketed piping expertise).
The Gold Standard Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts. Enjoy a 3-day weekend every single week.
Total Rewards: Comprehensive health benefits and 2 weeks of vacation after just 4 months.
Wealth Building: 3% RRSP matching program kicks in after your first year.
Stability: Long-term project backlog in a climate-controlled Nisku shop.
Responsibilities
Jacketed System Fabrication: Lead the assembly of complex "pipe-within-a-pipe" systems, ensuring perfect alignment of core and jacket components.
Precision Fit-Ups: Execute critical weld prep and fit-ups for jacketed crosses, tees, and elbows where internal access is limited.
Blueprint Mastery: Interpret sophisticated P&ID and GA drawings specifically for jacketed configurations and thermal spacing.
Integrity Testing: Oversee and execute high-pressure hydrostatic and pneumatic tests to ensure both the core and jacket are 100% leak-free.
Technical Problem Solving: Identify and resolve fitment issues on the fly to maintain production flow without sacrificing quality.
Qualifications
Experience vs. Ticket: While a Journeyman ticket is an asset, we value proven experience. You must demonstrate Journeyman-level proficiency in high-pressure piping.
Jacketed Specialist: You must have direct experience with jacketed piping. You understand the difference between standard process lines and the nuances of jacketed offsets and spacers.
Testing Authority: Deep knowledge of hydro-test protocols and the specific risks associated with testing multi-layered systems.
High-Pressure Mindset: Expert-level knowledge of flange bolt patterns, torque sequences, and high-pressure sealing surfaces.
Physical Stamina: This is a heavy-wall, high-output shop. You must be comfortable with the physical demands of large-scale fabrication.
Summary
This role is reserved for the "pro's pro"—the person the apprentices go to when they're stuck. If you can build a jacketed system with your eyes closed and your hands tied, we want to talk.
How to Apply: Email: renee.paul@randstad.ca Subject Line: Senior Jacketed Pipefitter – Nisku
Note: Reliable transportation to Nisku is required. Only candidates who clearly demonstrate experience in jacketed piping systems will be contacted.
