As the Senior Packaging Designer at our St. Marys facility, you will play a critical role in transforming customer needs into high‑impact corrugated packaging solutions. You will partner closely with Sales, Production, Quality, and Operations to design packaging that is innovative, functional, and cost‑effective, while supporting manufacturing excellence and customer success. This role is ideal for a designer who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative manufacturing environment and takes pride in seeing their designs brought to life on the production floor.

- Base Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
- Compensation is based on qualifications that align with requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead structural corrugated packaging design projects from concept through production
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Operations, Manufacturing) and external customers to gather requirements, define project scope, and manage expectations
- Communicate project timelines, technical constraints, and design intent clearly to stakeholders
- Utilize technical design software to develop, test, and optimize packaging designs
- Propose innovative, cost-effective, and manufacturable packaging solutions
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate designers
- Partner with operations and manufacturing teams to ensure designs align with equipment capabilities, materials, and finishing processes
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to design efficiency, standardization, and manufacturing optimization
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years of experience in structural packaging design, preferably within corrugated packaging
- Strong working knowledge of corrugated materials, manufacturing processes, and converting capabilities
- Proficiency in ArtiosCAD or AutoCAD
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools
- Structural Packaging and Design Management Certificate is highly desirable
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience mentoring or leading other designers is an asset
