We are looking for a Senior Technical Project Manager to spearhead an innovative digital access and transit integration initiative for a major public transportation network in the Ottawa area.
The program bridges the gap between public transit infrastructure and the region’s premier sports franchises, music festivals, and live entertainment venues. By deploying a purpose-built ticketing and credentialing API, this initiative enables third-party event platforms to dynamically issue integrated transit passes directly within event tickets - allowing attendees to breeze through automated access gates on event day without stopping to purchase transit fares.
As the lead Project Manager, you will serve as the strategic and technical bridge between internal systems teams, fare automation partners, and external ticketing platforms to build, test, and scale the integration. Apply today!
Advantages
- Multi-Year Stability: Secure a 1-year contract commitment with up to 2 additional extension years.
- Cutting-Edge Stack Exposure: Work directly with S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, RISE with SAP, RAP, CDS views, and SAP Integration Suite.
- Remote Flexibility: Work comfortably in a flexible remote setting while maintaining standard Eastern Time collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Guide external software engineering teams (major sports venues, festivals, and ticketing providers) through technical specifications, API documentation, testing, and deployment.
- Partner with Legal Services, finance teams, and external counsel to establish standardized API user agreements, billing mechanisms, and reconciliation workflows.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute operational field trials and validation testing across physical fare gates, site access points, and customer transit journeys.
- Maintain integrated project plans, manage risks and dependencies, and deliver bi-weekly progress updates to executive steering committees.
- Work with business stakeholders to evaluate and onboard new external partners and event producers into the digital transit ecosystem.
Qualifications
- Several years of progressive experience delivering complex technology infrastructure and systems integration projects.
- Recent years of dedicated Project Management experience leading end-to-end rollouts of new technology solutions.
- Demonstrated experience with Payment Systems, Ticketing Systems, or Automated Access/Fare Collection.
- Demonstrated experience managing software solutions utilizing APIs and web service integrations.
- Bilingual proficiency (English and French), with strong written and verbal communication skills in both official languages.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Business Administration/Commerce, or an equivalent discipline.
- Active PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 certification.
Summary
Please submit your resume highlighting relevant experience in API deployments, ticketing or payment systems, and complex multi-stakeholder project environments. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
