Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
End-to-End Delivery: Plan and manage the full lifecycle of large, complex IT projects under the APM program to meet scope, quality, budget, and schedule objectives.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead multidisciplinary teams and act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, vendors, and technical resources.
Bridge Definition & Build: Facilitate seamless collaboration between Business Analysts (requirements) and Platform Teams (build) to ensure technical feasibility and alignment.
Planning & Operations
Detailed Planning: Develop and maintain rigorous project plans, resource allocations, and schedules using MS Project.
Logistics Coordination: Manage the operational elements and logistics for all IT projects within the APM portfolio to ensure corporate timeframe requirements are met.
Standards Alignment: Work closely with Architecture, Security, Privacy, and Operations teams to ensure all modernized applications meet current enterprise standards.
Risk & Change Management
Technical Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify legacy system dependencies and technical roadblocks, implementing robust mitigation strategies to avoid project delays.
OCM Oversight: Lead Organizational Change Management (OCM) efforts, ensuring business units are technically and operationally prepared for the transition from legacy tools to modern platforms.
UAT Coordination: Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and secure formal sign-offs from business owners.
Qualifications
Experience: 10+ years of IT Project Management experience, specifically leading Application Migration and Modernization programs in large enterprise or public sector environments.
Modernization Expertise: Proven track record in assessing application "condition levels" and executing upgrade, replacement, or retirement strategies.
Technical Integration: Deep understanding of how to align project delivery with Security, Privacy, and Enterprise Architecture standards.
Tools: Expert proficiency in MS Project and other enterprise project management software.
Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical progress and roadblocks into business-relevant updates for executive leadership.
Education: University degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; PMP certification is highly preferred.
