Position: Senior Risk Analyst
Competitive Salary

Responsibilities
• Partner with First Line teams to perform business impact assessments for new and evolving regulatory requirements
•Act as a key liaison between the First and Second Lines of Defense to translate regulatory obligations into implementation plans, internal controls, and operational processes
•Support First Line of Defense teams with the development of effective action plans to resolve outstanding risk issues
•Work closely with the HR Project Management Office (PMO) to support and monitor the progress of large-scale regulatory remediation and implementation initiatives
•Coordinate the management of regulatory compliance issues, including issue intake, remediation planning, progress monitoring, and tracking of corrective actions to closure
•Develop presentation materials for internal stakeholders, including governance forums and senior leadership
•Build productive relationships with colleagues across the HR Function and within Enterprise Functions as required (e.g. HR IT, Group Risk Management, Enterprise Compliance, etc.) as a foundation for collaboration, communication, and goal alignment
Qualifications
Must-have Skills/Experiences and/or Education, certifications, qualifications, designations:
Dealbreakers (i.e. education/type of degree? Certifications? Years of experience etc.)
•Undergraduate degree or equivalent, preferably in business, law, or related discipline
•Minimum of 5 years of work experience in regulatory compliance, operational risk, internal audit, or first line business risk management within a large financial institution
•Strong regulatory interpretation and implementation skills
•Advanced Excel (Pivot tables, and data analysis) and PowerPoint skills (i.e. must be able to tell stories, and communicate with executives)
Nice-to-have Skills/Experience and/or Education, certifications, qualifications, designations:
•Proven ability to translate regulatory requirements into operational solutions
•Experience contributing to the design and implementation of regulatory remediation activities
•Knowledge of OSFI E-13 and/or RCM methodology
•Familiarity with functions compliance oversight models
•Dashboard/reporting capabilities
Soft Skills:
•Exceptional communication (written and verbal) skills
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•High attention to detail** (very important)
•Excellent stakeholder management skills with proven ability to influence across teams
•Team player with a positive attitude
