Responsibilities
1) Lead and motivate the shipping and receiving team, setting daily priorities to ensure timely and accurate material movement.
2) Coordinate with the logistics team to book and manage all dock appointments for inbound and outbound shipments.
3) Oversee all incoming and outgoing goods, verifying documentation like bills of lading and invoices for accuracy and compliance.
4) Participate in daily plant meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
5) Ensure all warehouse equipment is maintained and operated safely, reporting any issues to the maintenance department.
6) Enforce and champion all workplace safety protocols and participate actively in health and safety programs.
Qualifications
*You possess a minimum of 2-3 years of proven supervisory experience in a similar logistics or supply chain role.
*Demonstrated hands-on leadership, with the ability to lead a team from the warehouse floor.
*Proficiency with ERP and inventory management systems is required for this Senior Shipping and Receiving Supervisor position.
*Strong understanding of logistics software and quality control processes within a food manufacturing or similar fast-paced industry.
*You must be physically capable of standing, walking, and lifting throughout your shift.
*Must be knowledgeable in enforcing safety protocols, with an active interest in a company's Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC).
