Responsibilities
Portfolio Modernization: Lead the Application Portfolio Modernization (APM) strategy to reduce technical debt and proactively manage technology risks.
Strategic Roadmapping: Develop and maintain architecture blueprints, including "as-is" state, target architecture, and 1-5 year evolution roadmaps aligned with digital strategy.
Solution Design: Create comprehensive solution design documents ensuring robust interoperability, secure network integrity, and conformance to enterprise architecture principles.
Metric Definition: Define and update meaningful metrics to reflect the technical and functional "state of good repair" for all software applications.
Oversight & Compliance: Review third-party requirements and configuration documents to ensure strict compliance with IT security, infrastructure policies, and AODA standards.
Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship and coaching to technical team members and lead architecture reviews to recommend performance and scalability improvements.
Repository Management: Maintain an accessible repository for reference models and architectural materials related to the modernization program.
Qualifications
Education: University or College graduate in Computer Science with a post-bachelor’s certificate/diploma in Application Development or a related discipline.
Mandatory Certifications: (Proofs must be submitted)
SDLC Foundation Certificate or higher.
PMBOK Foundation Certificate or higher.
COBIT Foundation Certificate or higher.
ITIL Foundation Certificate or higher.
Core Experience: 5+ years of advanced experience in ITIL, COBIT, application development, and spatial database modeling & design.
Technical Expertise: Proven experience architecting enterprise-level systems using Java, C#, or .NET.
Modern Web Tech: Proficiency with XML, JSON, JavaScript, HTML5, Web Services (SOAP/REST), and various Application/Web servers.
Methodologies: Expert knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA), Design Patterns, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and Unified Modeling Language (UML).
Soft Skills: Highly developed writing skills for authoring complex blueprints and proposals; ability to influence senior leadership and lead multi-disciplinary teams.
