Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities
As a senior estimator, your mission will be to lead the strategic side of the bidding process. Your tasks will include:
analyzing detailed plans and specifications for general contracting and/or formwork scopes.
performing accurate material and labor quantity take-offs.
developing preliminary budgets and preparing bid forms using TPL software.
soliciting and rigorously analyzing bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
ensuring a clear and complete handover of relevant information to the project management team after a contract is awarded.
Qualifications
Required qualifications
To excel in this role, we are looking for a senior professional capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy:
a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in an estimating role, ideally for a general contractor or a specialized company.
a college or university education in civil engineering, architecture, construction estimation, or equivalent experience.
excellent proficiency with the MS Office Suite, TPL, and Bluebeam software.
an impeccable command of the French language, both spoken and written; knowledge of English is an asset.
strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and a meticulous attention to detail.
