Our client services mining , energy and natural resource sectors in Canada and the US. For this particular role, prior experience with mineral processing, gold/copper projects is highly desired.

Responsibilities
-Lead complex structural engineering mandates across the mining, energy, and natural resources sectors
-Oversee structural design and analysis for facilities, industrial structures, and infrastructure in remote and challenging environments
-Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers
-Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors
-Contribute to proposal preparation and business development initiatives
-Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical reports
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree is an asset)
-Minimum 15 years of relevant structural engineering experience
-Significant experience leading projects in the mining, hydroelectric, and energy sectors
-P.Eng. designation in British Columbia or eligibility for registration
-Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or equivalent)
-Familiarity with Canadian building codes and standards (NBCC, CSA S16, AISC)
-Strong understanding of site execution and construction-phase support
-Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
-Experience contributing to technical proposals and business development efforts
