Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Survey Instrument Technician:
Deploy, configure, and validate the operability of high-precision surveying instruments (robotic total stations, GPS systems, lasers, etc.) on our clients' sites.
Ensure excellent technical support and training for the clientele, whether in-person, by phone, or remotely.
Independently diagnose and rectify complex technical issues and breakdowns in the field.
Utilize advanced technical expertise to perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and equipment repairs within the workshop.
Actively participate in improving internal processes by collaborating with the team, always aiming to maximize customer satisfaction.
Develop and maintain accurate documentation of technical interventions and calibration certificates.
Qualifications
Desired Profile for the Senior Position in Ville Saint-Laurent:
Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS/DEP) in Electromechanics, or equivalent training relevant to the field of activity.
Confirmed expertise and significant experience in surveying, instrumentation, electronics, or civil engineering.
Practical mastery and in-depth knowledge of advanced surveying instruments (GPS systems, robotic total stations, lasers, etc.).
Strong skills in precision mechanics, electronics, or optics (a major asset).
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems in the field thanks to a keen analytical mind, resourcefulness, and great autonomy.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including the management of delicate situations.
Bilingualism (French and English) considered an important asset for client interaction.
