As a senior systems analyst, you will bridge the gap between business stakeholders, finance teams, project management offices, and technical developers. Operating within a hybrid work model in Toronto, you will lead full SDLC activities—designing advanced Power BI dashboards, building dimensional star-schema data models, integrating multi-source enterprise data, and automating business processes using Power Platform technologies. This position demands a technical data authority who can troubleshoot production reports, optimize semantic models, and drive continuous improvement across reporting ecosystems.

Design, build, and maintain enterprise Power BI dashboards, semantic models, and trend analysis reports using DAX and Power Query/M.
Construct efficient data structures using dimensional modeling and star-schema principles across relational databases.
Integrate and model data from multiple enterprise and third-party systems, including project management, ticketing, and operational platforms.
Implement Power BI Row-Level Security (RLS), workspace management, access controls, and data governance practices.
Analyze source systems, assess data quality, and build automated workflows using Power Automate and Power Apps.
Investigate production issues, optimize report performance, troubleshoot data refreshes, and support existing business intelligence solutions.
Develop data mapping strategies, migration templates, and validation scenarios to support platform transitions and data migrations.
Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and post-production validation scenarios for reporting releases.
Author technical guides, data dictionaries, developer documentation, and end-user training materials.
Qualifications
Core Requirements & Technical Expertise
SDLC & Analysis Experience: Comprehensive knowledge and experience across all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodologies.
Advanced Power BI Mastery: Advanced expertise in Power BI development, including complex DAX, Power Query/M, semantic data modeling, and Power BI Service administration.
SQL & Dimensional Data Modeling: Strong SQL query writing skills paired with deep experience in relational databases, dimensional modeling, facts, dimensions, and star-schema concepts.
Multi-Source Data Integration: Proven ability to integrate, model, and analyze data sourced from multiple enterprise and third-party applications.
Security & Power Platform: Practical experience configuring Power BI Row-Level Security (RLS), workspace governance, Power Apps, and Power Automate workflows.
Advanced Excel Capabilities: Strong Excel skills, including Power Query, Power Pivot, and VBA/macros.
Preferred Assets
APIs & Scripting: Experience integrating data via APIs, cloud services, and Python scripting for data processing or automation.
Enterprise Reporting Context: Experience developing PMO, financial, project portfolio, or operational performance reporting.
Public Sector Context: Prior experience within a public sector or broader public service environment is nice to have.
