As a senior QA specialist, you will bridge the gap between software development teams, business analysts, and project leadership throughout the entire Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Operating fully onsite in Toronto, you will lead end-to-end functional, non-functional, regression, user acceptance, and API testing efforts, build detailed test cases, manage test data strategies, and govern defect lifecycles using enterprise defect tracking systems. This position demands a thorough quality assurance authority who can establish test strategies, validate database integrity using SQL, and ensure software solutions conform to strict accessibility regulations and industry quality standards.

Identify, document, isolate, and track software defects through to resolution using enterprise tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM, and Bugzilla.
Collaborate closely with software developers to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application bugs and technical issues.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using enterprise testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, UFT, or TestComplete) and support integration into CI/CD pipelines.
Conduct performance, stress, and load testing using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner to evaluate system scalability and performance bottlenecks.
Perform backend database testing and data integrity verification using SQL queries across relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.
Manage robust test data strategies, generating realistic test datasets while ensuring data privacy across test environments.
Ensure application testing processes adhere to Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) regulations and standards.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, technical walkthroughs, and retrospectives.
Maintain detailed technical documentation of test coverage, execution metrics, quality results, release notes, and user manuals.

Enterprise QA Experience: 10+ years of dedicated software testing experience in enterprise-level IT environments and large-scale systems.
Manual & Non-Functional Testing: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience performing manual testing across functional, non-functional, system integration, and UAT phases.
Defect Management: Proven, hands-on experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM, or similar tools to log, track, prioritize, and manage defect lifecycles.
API & Automation Tooling: Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts or API tests using tools such as Selenium, Postman, Cypress, or Swagger.
Database Verification: Demonstrated experience writing SQL queries to perform backend database validations across platforms like Oracle or SQL Server.
Accessibility Compliance: Extensive experience conducting accessibility testing and ensuring compliance with AODA regulations and standards.
Methodology Expertise: Deep understanding of structured testing methodologies across Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall delivery models.
