As a senior QA specialist, you will bridge the gap between software development teams, business analysts, and project leads throughout all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Operating fully onsite in Toronto across multiple delivery methodologies (Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall), you will lead functional, non-functional, systems integration, regression, and performance testing across both GUI and non-GUI applications. This position demands a seasoned testing authority with deep experience in test automation (Selenium, Postman), performance testing (JMeter, LoadRunner), cloud environments (Azure, AWS), CI/CD pipeline integration, and digital accessibility (AODA) compliance to ensure the highest standards of system reliability, performance, and security.

Develop, review, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, test cases, automated test scripts, and test data for functional and non-functional validation.
Execute functional, system integration, regression, performance, load, stress, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Build, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Postman, UFT, or TestComplete, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
Conduct performance, load, and scalability testing using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner to analyze system bottlenecks under peak traffic.
Perform specialized digital accessibility testing to ensure compliance with AODA regulations and standards.
Identify, document, isolate, track, and manage software defects to resolution using enterprise tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, and ALM.
Perform backend database testing, data validation, and query verification across SQL and Oracle database structures.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers during sprint ceremonies to clarify requirements and ensure quality coverage.
Maintain detailed test documentation, test execution metrics, coverage reports, and release notes for project leadership.
Qualifications
Core Requirements & Testing Expertise
Software Testing Tenure: Minimum 10+ years of progressive hands-on experience in software testing within enterprise-level IT environments and large-scale systems.
Manual & Automated Testing: Extensive hands-on experience in both manual testing and test automation frameworks (Selenium, Postman, or similar tools).
Delivery Methodologies: Deep understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall testing methodologies across all phases of the SDLC.
