POSITION: Senior Testing Officer/Auditor
TYPE: 9-month contract with possibility of extension/permanence
LOCATION: Great location in downtown Montreal
SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week (with 1 day of telework)
START DATE: As soon as possible

Responsibilities
Lead Second Level Testing (RISQ/CTL) and execute risk-based independent reviews of operational and regulatory risk control frameworks.
Oversee key risk management domains, including operational risk, fraud, third-party risk management, HR processes, and trade booking and settlement activities.
Gather necessary process and control information, documenting testing work with sufficient detail for third-party and internal understanding.
Identify control deficiencies through rigorous testing, determine root causes, and oversee the development of remediation action plans.
Draft comprehensive final testing reports to communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to local and global senior stakeholders.
Validate the timely completion and closure of corrective action plans established by business units.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with senior risk leaders and coordinate with internal audit teams for planning and information sharing.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) required.
Experience: 5 to 8 years of experience in financial services, focusing on operational risk testing or audit.
Certifications: Securities licenses are considered a plus.
Languages: English is required as you will be dealing with client supplier and colleagues who are outside Quebec.
Knowledge & Skills: Strong proficiency in corporate and investment banking, broker-dealer, and futures commission merchant risks and regulations (including RCSA and Regulatory Risk Assessments); strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
