Are you an analytical CPA-designated treasury professional who excels at cash flow forecasting, debt administration, and streamlining complex financial schedules?
Have you built a reputation as a tech-forward problem solver eager to leverage AI tools, digital automation, and modern Treasury Management Systems (TMS) to eliminate manual spreadsheet bottlenecks?
...
Are you ready to step into a high-visibility "Number Two" seat, partnering directly with treasury leadership across a massive, capital-intensive portfolio with a clear developmental growth runway?
If you thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and want direct exposure to capital markets, bank negotiations, and systems modernization, this is the career-defining opportunity you have been looking for!
We have partnered with a leading North American organization seeking an agile, hands-on Senior Treasury Analyst to join their Corporate Treasury team. Operating in a balanced hybrid setup, this role serves as the primary operational backup and core execution engine for the department.
Reporting directly to a supportive Treasury Manager and working closely with the Treasury Director, you will have broad visibility to solve complex data challenges, drive IFRS 16 lease schedules, and play a key role in an upcoming 2027 Treasury Management System (TMS) rollout.
Advantages
What’s In It For You?
- Comprehensive Total Compensation & Benefits: Highly competitive base salary (commensurate with experience), supplemented by a corporate variable profit-sharing bonus plan, an RRSP plan with a generous employer match, comprehensive health and dental coverage, annual wellness and lifestyle perks, 3 weeks paid vacation, a paid corporate holiday shutdown between Christmas and New Year's Day, and flexible financial support for CPA dues and continuing education.
- Work-Life Balance & Setup: Enjoy a balanced hybrid work schedule (3 days in-office in Etobicoke / 2 days WFH) with flexible daily arrangements and convenient West GTA access.
- Major Systems Transformation: Lead financial automation and digital integration as the organization upgrades its core treasury infrastructure with a major Treasury Management System (TMS) implementation in 2027.
- Direct Impact & High Visibility: Serve as a trusted "Number Two" partner to treasury leadership, gaining direct exposure to global banking partners, lender negotiations, equipment financing, and senior corporate decision-making.
Responsibilities
What You Will Do:
- Debt & Equipment Financing Administration: Own month-end and quarter-end reconciliations of corporate debt and lease records under IFRS 16, review lender proposals, coordinate loan drawdowns, and ensure complete debt covenant compliance.
- Cash Flow Analysis & Liquidity Insight: Oversee daily liquidity positioning, analyze forecast-to-actual cash flow variances, validate automated cash outputs, and build dynamic models to optimize working capital.
- Systems Transformation & Process Automation: Serve as a core business lead for the upcoming 2027 Treasury Management System (TMS) implementation while utilizing modern technology (Python, Power BI, and AI tools) to eliminate manual spreadsheet bottlenecks.
- Operational Partnership & Backup Leadership: Serve as the primary operational backup to the Treasury Manager, assisting in issue escalation, bank relationship management, audit coordination, and mentoring junior treasury staff.
Qualifications
Who You Are:
- The Accounting & Treasury Foundation: Professional CPA designation OR active CPA candidate (CFE candidate) with strong accounting fundamentals. A Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation is a strong asset.
- Corporate Treasury Experience: 3 to 5+ years of progressive corporate treasury, banking, cash management, or debt/lease administration experience within a complex, multi-entity commercial environment.
- The Technical Toolset: Proficient with enterprise ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel modeling (pivot tables, complex formulas, multi-file consolidation); exposure to IFRS 16 lease schedules or Treasury Management Systems is highly desirable.
- The Autonomous & Tech-Forward Mindset: A proactive self-starter eager to adopt AI copilot tools and digital process automation to drive continuous team improvement.
